Emprise recognises that our people are at the heart of everything we do and we are passionate about supporting our people to deliver excellent services to our customers. Learning & development plays an important role in equipping our staff to do their job effectively and safely and our accreditation as an Investor in People demonstrates our commitment to ensuring this happens.

The Emprise Training Academy, managed by the Business Support and HR teams, provides a robust, centralised structure offering advice and support to each of our operating divisions.

Our induction programme is designed to ensure that all staff receive basic job training, health and safety training and site specific training at the beginning of their employment.

Our appraisal process is designed to identify both individual training needs and future career aspirations. Individuals are encouraged to take advantage of all opportunities to build their careers and contribute to the future of Emprise, integrating personal ambition with delivery to our clients. Further training is encouraged as a means of career progression and Emprise supports our people who wish to undertake NVQs, BTECs, First Aid and professional qualifications.

All managers receive Health and Safety awareness training accredited by IOSH and regular refresher courses encourage best practice. Further training is conducted at site level with regular tool box talks ensuring safe working practices are adopted.

We work closely with Skills for Security and our internal training conforms to the standards set by Skills for Security. All Security Officers are trained in Basic Job Training and Conflict Management.
